I usually have a camera in my hand, but I enjoy other pastimes too. Here are a few of them.
My favorite pastime is gaming. I started playing video games when I was just a youngin. Granny and Me would shoot carnival ducks on an old ColecoVision console and yes, she always beat me! haha
Once I gained younger siblings, we jumped into the world of PC gaming with Tomb Raider. I'm pretty sure we played them all at least once! When we got a little older, my brothers and I played World of Warcraft. Yep, officially a nerd and proud of it!
Even now, nothing beats jumping into a game with my long-time gamer family to share much needed laughs. I wouldn't trade them for the world. They are amazing people and I'm thankful to have them in my life.
My second favorite pastime would be adventuring in the woods or at dog parks with Tayah. Yep, my camera is with me most of the time. I can't help it! haha
This doggo has given me a purpose in life. When I brought her home, I was in a very dark place and she brought me the light I needed with her huge personality. She put her nose to mine like she said "Ok, you are my human now" and I've spoiled her rotten ever since.
My third favorite pastime is being in the woods. Whether that is a hike with the pup or riding quads. I've always loved playing in the mud and being outdoors. I'm pretty sure that stems from growing up in the mountains of West Virginia. I have a healthy respect for hunting as well as caring for injured animals. There is a time for both.
My first pet was an injured raccoon named Charlie when I was about 3 years old. It taught me compassion for all animals, no matter how big or how small.
I've also raised 18 baby squirrels over the years. No, they aren't pets. They grow up and scamper off to build families of their own but for the short time they are in my home, they get all the love they can handle. Trust me, if they wanted to stay, I'd let them.
Hopefully you've gotten to know me a bit more by my top 3 favorite pastimes. I'd love to hear what your favorite pastimes are!
Have a blessed week~
