Spring is finally here! Are you excited? I know I am! Don't get me wrong, I do love winter but spring is a time for all things new. It's one of the best seasons for portraits too! Just like the fall when we have gorgeous colors from changing leaves, springtime offers beautiful colors from the new flowers blooming.
Portrait ideas? I'd love to say let's theme the portraits around Easter with baby ducks and bunny rabbits and Easter eggs. HOWEVER, I'm not going to let a theme date or lessen the longevity of your images. I will absolutely include a few Easter themed images into your session but that won't be the sole focus. Why, you ask? Simple. I want your images to be displayed in your home, to be shared with family, and to be kept for future generations. I want them to be timeless. Think about it for a moment. Can you imagine an Easter portrait still hanging on your wall around September? Me neither. That's why I'm here. To make sure you have the right mixture of images that are both fun and timeless.
A tip? That Easter outfit you bought for your little one this year? It would be perfect for portraits.
As for baby bunnies or ducks. Please, please, please do not go out and buy animals solely for a portrait. Animals are a huge responsibility and they deserve to live in forever homes, not just temporary ones. If you know someone who has animals or if you already have animals that you are raising, then that is an excellent opportunity for portraits but don't purchase any animals specifically for Easter or for portraits. Thank you!

Have a blessed day ^.^
